Confidence boosting advice for women

We’re in uncertain times right now with clickbait headlines, divisive politicking, social media polarising and economic instability, all increasing our feelings of uncertainty which increases our tendency to hesitate and make us want to bury our head in the sand.

And leaders and managers aren’t immune. In fact, often the stakes are higher for those who lead so hesitation, second guessing and decision making by committee become the norm.
What if I told you that there is an antidote to feeling uncertain and that it’s really easy?

- A: When you’ve got an action plan of course!
An action plan, a roadmap, a treatment plan and clear pathway forward will all help you feel better about yourself, like you’re doing something positive and as though you know where you’re going.
Acton boosts certainty, which boosts clarity, which boosts confidence. You will start to see progress, which will help you course correct as needed and get you closer to your goal.
Action is the key.
And the best bit? It become a virtuous cycle because the more confident you feel the more prone you are to take more action.

If you’re feeling less than certain right now, find a few things to take action on, stop hesitating, create an action plan and literally and physically get moving!
I can guarantee you’ll not just feel better yourself, but it will have a cascading effect onto the teams you lead, your close friends and family and your career and earning potential as well.
Great leaders never hide, especially in a crisis. They also get very good at laying out action plans to help everyone move forward.
