Have you hit the “glass ceiling” so many times, it feels as if the top of your head is flat? Has your journey through the executive ranks seem to have stalled out? Are your dedication and hard work going unrewarded? Are you feeling underappreciated or misunderstood in the workplace? If so…welcome to The Club!

“This is THE place, where like-minded, executive-minded, forward-thinking women come to communicate—collaborate—and celebrate everything that it means to be a career-focused woman in a male-dominated work environment. This isn’t about ‘us vs. them.’ This is about us making a name for ourselves—taking a seat, and truly owning that seat, at the executive table—and doing so not as ‘clones’ of men, but as authentic, self-confident, self-empowered women.”

My own 20+ year career journey came through designing and developing educational training programs and courses in the professional association world with my last role as CEO of SOCAP Australia. The common theme of all professional associations is that people join for career advancement and self-promotion opportunities – publishing, speaking, Boards and Awards. I’ve booked and briefed more speakers than most people have had hot dinners! You could say, I’ve been helping people win raises, promotions and recognition since 1993. It’s what I’m talented at.

You know when someone walks in the room and you assume they are incredibly knowledgeable and worthy within a few minutes of meeting them? My structured process, grounded in the latest research, is designed to help you to take charge of the narrative, to harness that power so that you feel back in control of your destiny again. Using a combination of Presence, Personal Brand and Positioning tactics, both online, and offline, you will not only feel like a winner, worthy of being reckoned with, but others will notice it too.

Yes, since starting my business I’ve predominantly worked with women, however I’ve had a steady stream of male clients who have utilised my career services. After all the higher up an organisation you go, fewer roles means significant competition for both men and women.  Both women and men need every advantage they can get.

We’re so excited!

Palm Cove retreat has been rescheduled to 10-12 March 2022 . Learn more here – COVID travel restrictions permitting of course. In fact, I’ll be heading up to Queensland 14 days prior to ensure the retreat can go ahead as planned, plus we offer a money back guarantee for anyone caught out by COVID and subsequent travel restrictions.

Did you know that studies have shown that women who attend women in leadership programs are 2 x as likely to get a promotion and 3 x as likely to get a pay rise of more than 10%? What’s not to like about that!

Women of self worth win.  I love working with people who love working with me so I stand by my program. However, while I cannot guarantee you smooth sailing, or that your new gig will take off, I can promise you a huge boost in your confidence and self worth, and that you’ll also have all the tools you need sharpened and pointed in the right direction for when. Most importantly, you’ll feel back in the driver’s seat of your destiny again knowing which levers to pull and when.

If, within the first 30 days of signing up, you decide the program is wrong for you, you will be refunded.

Many of the clients I work with typically, and frequently, put themselves and their needs second. Yet, if you are serious about leading and making a bigger difference, then your priority #1 IS YOU. My schedule is open from 10am to 6pm three days per week with the opportunity for Skype/Zoom or phone calls in place of face to face meetings. All meetings, workshops etc will be in business hours with some networking events after hours. I’m looking forward to seeing what might be possible for you when make yourself your #1 priority.

When building your brand, you’ve got to put the blinkers on and stop comparing yourself to others. Research tells us that people typically compare themselves negatively and that’s not helpful. Instead, start from a place of purpose, wrapped with authenticity and keep focused on outcomes – you will build your following. Your tribe will be attracted to your unique voice and your individual blend of experience, expertise and passions. In short, they’ll follow you.

Definitely, many of my senior level clients require discretion and privacy around what I help them achieve. They treat me like their secret weapon.  There will be opportunities to network and meet other clients, if you wish to be a part of that. I am of course very happy for anyone to share their experiences of how and why they were successful and shout it from the rooftops. Winners are grinners!

Absolutely. At the conclusion of your program you an annual extension is offered to clients seeking mastery and sustained confidence and career success, or who are planning to take time to land their dream role.  In fact many clients find working with me so beneficial that they come back for two or more years. As your coach I hold you accountable to keeping relevant and help you remain successful despite you needing to focus on doing your job.  Right now, with COVID landing a good role, is probably more important than landing your dream role. At the end of your program we will discuss continuing to work together and you’ll be offered a discount rate to move forward.

It’s entirely up to you. An initial deposit is required to secure your place and all work that we do will be paid for in advance. You can pay via EFT or credit card.  I even accept AMEX as I know its the corporate card of choice at an executive level.

There is also the option of establishing automated monthly payments debited payments in advance via Ezidebit, with full payment being finalised prior to program completion.

I offer a discount for upfront payment as well.

  1. Advise me of your schedule and possible dates for the initial Deep Dive session

  2. Advise of your payment preference – credit card, EFT and upfront or Ezidebit instalments

  3. Email me your postal address

  4. We will send confirmation documentation and get you started!

No more waiting in the wings, waiting to be tapped on the shoulder or waiting for the time to be right. Instead, replace that with the ‘gold standard’ of executive branded (or Rockstar self promotion) – proactive, intentional, future focused and strategic. Add in confidence and depression of the modesty norm and your self promotion efforts will pay off.

For Woman In Leadership Corporate Clients

Empowered women make a bigger difference.  A world 1st Australian study published in 2020, based on 6 years of Australian companies’ gender reporting to WGEA and conducted by the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre at the Curtin Business School recently proved the causal relationship between leading women and better business results

  • companies who appointed a female CEO increased their market value by 5% — worth nearly $80MIL to an avg ASX200 company.

  • companies who reduced their numbers of women in key leadership roles suffered a loss in value as a result, of around 3%

  • Increasing the number of women in other key leadership positions by 10%+ increased the market value by 6.6% or an average $105MIL

A great reminder that gender equity is not simply nice to have – but it’s great for business as well.

While organisations struggle to deal with COVID-19 fallout, gender equity might just be the magic bullet.

A great gender equity program includes a strong women in leadership component, along with culture change elements in addition to a review of structural biases and blockers.

Two of the main reasons women leave is that their opinion isn’t valued and they aren’t recognised in line with male peers.  Additionally, they still suffer the burden of over-proof and have to jump through more hoops than men to maintain their seat at the table. Over time this is exhausting. Put simply, bias is bad for business and is probably the #1 thing that will contribute to women leaving.  By nurturing empowered female leaders, you are creating an environment that will attract and retain talented women and men, as one of the many benefits that leading women bring is increased staff engagement.

Gender equity is not just good for business, but is good for men, women and children too

As the former CEO of SOCAP Australia, now acknowledged women in leadership expert, and author of two books for leading women, I truly understand the tightrope that many women walk on their pathway to the top.  My own 25+ year career journey came through designing and developing educational training programs and courses in the professional association world. The common theme of all professional associations is that people join for career advancement and development opportunities. You could say, I’ve been helping build empowered leaders since 1993. It’s what I’m talented at.

The organisation needs to be prepared to champion change for better results. And change takes time. Developing empowered female leaders and male staff who respect them is not necessarily an easy fix. My structured nine step process, grounded in the latest research and delivered 9 months, allows time for changes to be embedded, tracked and measured, and for the women, and the rest of the organisation to realise the benefits. Two out of the nine components require input from the rest of the organization as well for true traction.

Women of self-worth win. By laying down the ground work of the initial three elements including 1. confidence 2. strategy and 3. regular progress reporting, this builds a foundation for both the long and short term success of the program. The initial three steps then underpin the entire year, to deliver better results.

There are many women and leadership programs out there but one of the reasons my programs are so successful is my deep understanding of bias, beliefs and baggage that get in they for men and women. Additionally, I have a proven track record of working with senior level executives, boards and c-suite executives over 15+ years.

We don’t need more women leading like men. In fact, women definitely do it differently and that’s the competitive advantage.

Studies have shown that women who attend women in leadership programs are 2 x as likely to get a promotion and 3 x as likely to get a pay rise of more than 10%.  Back this up with an inclusive and equitable environment, with more opportunities for women at the top and clear, transparent pathways for how to get there,  you will find that truly empowered women, empower other women and you’ll retain talent more easily.  Research is supporting the notion of the power of the female network is now emerging. Behind every strong female leader is frequently a very supportive female cheer squad.

From Human Resources through to IT or accounting to customer care and every department in between, any emerging female leader who wants to learn, feel supported and valued, will thrive in this program.  Many of the career paths traditionally available to women are those in support of others. This program assists the women to see beyond being in service, to ensuring they are confident in leading from the front.

There is an energetic shift even after the first workshop that will effect change immediately.

When women are having a great experience in the organisation they are far less likely feel threatened or pressured.  Research tells us that when there is more opportunity for women, an inclusive and supportive environment, women don’t just flourish but their peers and staff flourish as well. There is then the potential for a positive cultural shift this has the potential to cascade throughout the organisation if nurtured.

About Amanda Blesing's Woman Of Impact
Leadership Retreats

The pandemic and economic downturn has driven women out of the workforce at alarming rates. Those women who remain continue to face increasing pressures and challenges as they pick up the emotional burden both at home and the office (office housework). Recent research from Chief.com where they interviewed 300 C- and VP-level women at the top of their companies and industries found the following alarming insights:

  • 30% said the pandemic is knocking them off their professional career course

  • 24% were planning on leaving their companies sooner due to the company’s response to the pandemic

  • This loss of talented women from leadership has a cascading effect on the women who remain — and poses a significant threat to gender equity initiatives overall

  • Which in turn, has serious implications for organisations as women reconsider their commitment to leadership within their current organisation

  • The women who remain are taking on an overwhelming amount of additional responsibilities on top of their already full plates, putting them at increased risk of burnout.

By prioritising yourself and your needs as a leader, you’ll become more productive, your focus will become laser sharp and you’ll get that much needed confidence boost that will help you fall back in love with your role again and kick even bigger goals in the future.

Many of the smart and talented women I work with have found themselves feeling quite depleted because of a tendency to prioritise everyone else’s needs above their own. This means it’s imperative that we carefully curate the program to ensure you get the balance between inspiration and down time to ensure you thrive, not just survive.

The program includes:

  • Dedicated time to rest, recharge, and realign yourself with your vision and purpose

  • Movement is medicine so we also offer optional roof top yoga and guided morning walks

  • Scrumptious catered morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea every day

  • Plus drinks on the beach on Thursday evening and a fabulous Friday night dinner in a glorious outdoor beach side restaurant NuNu, to help you let your hair down (it is a retreat, after all!)

I can guarantee you’ll feel like a million dollars at the conclusion and won’t want to leave!

I am proud to work with a wide-ranging, diverse clientele of all ages, industries, seniority in their organisation, cultural backgrounds, and personality types, including those who are more introvert and those who tend towards extroversion in nature. The one thing all these women have in common is that they all take their career progression seriously. They don’t just want to make more money or to lead more effectively or to even be in the spotlight all the time. Instead, they also want to ensure their voice is heard, and that they are truly making a bigger difference. When you feel as though your opinion is valued and that you’re truly making a difference, you’re perfectly positioned to thrive, not just survive.

If you are an executive woman looking to for the following benefits then this retreat is definitely right for you:

  • You are looking to create more impact, opportunity, and recognition from your leadership, executive or C-suite role

  • You want to break through glass ceilings, and build a lasting legacy with your expertise and leadership

  • You want to inspire change in your organisation to create a culture of inclusivity

  • You want to reignite your passion for life, career, and leadership

  • You want to meet, network, and connect with career-minded women who truly understand you and

  • You want to break free from stress, exhaustion, and burnout for good.

By taking an holistic approach to you as a leader you will not only be better engaged and more productive, you will have more clarity about future possibilities, ultimately falling back in love with yourself and your career again. With both my own experience as a C-level leader, plus a 20+ year career history in fitness and wellness, I am passionate about creating programs that serve you as a whole person – a woman who feels you are able to bring your whole authentic self to work. This has to be a win-win.

It’s true! Palm Cove is a glorious part of the world – secluded, lush and deliciously tropical. And, feedback from previous retreats I’ve hosted in Palm Cove was that this was part of the reason the Retreat worked so well. The seclusion meant that women normally in high demand felt they had permission to put their phones down, switch off their emails and focus on themselves. Combine that with the total change of temperature and climate, for many female leaders from southern states, the lush tropical environment was the exact circuit breaker they required for their much-needed reset.

With ever changing restrictions and protocols of COVID-19, we also undertake to be fully compliant with whatever those restrictions look like at the time.

If your travel is cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will give you a full refund of your ticket price, or if you would prefer, you can put it towards a different program.

I’ve been traveling inter-state extensively since late 2020 dodging snap lock-downs in several states and I have been absolutely delighted with how flexible all travel and accommodation operators have been and the ease of which I have been able to cancel and/or change my bookings. The Pullman is no different and are guaranteeing flexibility. Who knows what the world is going to look like in March, but I have faith in science and our ability to remain flexible and if required we will push out the dates should we all end up unable to enter Queensland in March.

Finally, in terms of the Retreat venue itself, one of the reasons I’ve re-booked back at the Pullman is that the room where the sessions will be held is large, airy and spacious which is not only a treat but such a difference to the usual conference venue.

I simply cannot wait!
