For the Woman Who Holds the Room
A Love Letter to Executive Women
To the warm hearted, values driven, career minded executive women I have the privilege of working with.
This is for you.
You carry serious responsibility. You hold budgets, strategy, people, performance and reputation in your hands. You are trusted to make the call when it matters.
You work hard. Not just in hours, but in thought. You prepare thoroughly. You think ahead. You consider impact. You care about the commercial outcome and the human cost.
And because you care, you sometimes question yourself.
You wonder if you pushed too hard. If you were too direct. If you should have let it go.
Let me say this clearly.
Your ambition is not a flaw. Your standards are not unreasonable. Your desire to lead well and succeed well is not something to tone down.
You have built capability over years. You have delivered results. You have steadied teams and shaped outcomes. None of that is accidental.
What I want for you now is not more hustle. It is more ownership.
- Ownership of your value.
- Ownership of your voice.
- Ownership of the space you already deserve to occupy.
You do not need to shrink to be accepted. You do not need to over explain to be credible. You do not need to wait for perfect confidence before you move.
When you step forward, other women notice. When you negotiate well, the benchmark shifts. When you stay in the room and hold your ground, the culture changes.
You are not only building a career. You are influencing what leadership looks like.
Thank you for your integrity. Thank you for your courage. Thank you for choosing to lead with both heart and commercial intelligence.
The world needs more of you, not less.
With love,
Amanda ( in honour of Valentine’s day)
