If I could tell the CEO 5 things about gender equity, here’s what I’d say … | CEOWorld Magazine & Amanda Blesing
In 2020 I wrote a highly popular blog entitled “If I could tell a male manager three things about how to manage your female staff, here’s what I’d say”.
As you can imagine, it went off like the proverbial frog in a sock. If you missed it here it is.
Special thanks to Clare Collinge for the inspiration!
So when my PR team reminded me I had another looming deadline with CEOWorld Magazine, and in response to the lack of true leadership about gender equity being demonstrated right now in corridors of power, I decided that this could be a great time to speak directly to CEOs about what might be going on inside their organization when it comes to gender equity, that they might not be aware of.
Unfortunately I can’t simply copy and paste the article it here due to copyright reasons, but you can read the article over on CEOWorld Magazine where I’m delighted to be a regular contributor.
In summary –
- Bias is bad for business
- Hope is not a strategy
- All things are not equal
- Root out the layer of permafrost that resists change
- Do not be afraid of quotas
